Biomass Technology Group (BTG) has specialised in the conversion of biomass into fuels, energy and bio-based raw materials for the past 35 years. BTG is an independent, private company.
More than 20 spin-off companies and more than 10 foundations originate from BTG. Examples are BTG-Bioliquids and BTG-neXt. That already shows how innovative and successful BTG is. Our flat organizational structure contributes to this. Our team of about 25 professionals often talks to each other and that is how the best ideas arise.
We want to be a leader in bioenergy, biofuels and raw materials for the biobased economy. We always set a good example ourselves by implementing our ideas as proof that they work.
History
BTG originated from the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the University of Twente. In 1987, BTG was privatized and started to develop consultancy activities. The R&D department (RTD) has developed strongly since 1993.
With this unique combination of consultancy and R&D, the many successful spin-off companies and years of experience, BTG has developed into a leading player in the biomass sector.
Inspired and enthusiastic. That is a good description of the people in our team.
