In a EU study, carried out by a consortium including BTG, the potential for biofuels in the EU transport sector in 2030 and 2050 has been determined. More biofuels are required by the various EU coals (FF55, climate neutrality), which will increase the EU’s industrial competitiveness, GDP and employment.
The study showed that biofuels demand in the EU could increase by a factor of up to 2.5, compared to 2021, and that Industry is ready to invest. This significant increase in the deployment of biofuels will reduce CO2 emissions and increase the GDP of EU.
